Looking

Well, I'm on the search for work at the moment and am having a few setbacks. It's ok - as my brother pointed out in an email recently, God is very deliberate about where he is placing me and the journey he is taking me on. It would just be nice if that journey settled down for more than a year or so, but then again, maybe he's teaching me to rest on His provision rather than resting on the assurance of an ongoing job. Not that they're necessarily mutually exclusive, but perhaps I am in danger of that without learning what He has to teach me during this time.

It's all yours, Big Daddy. You know what you're doing.

Came across this today. I'm never buying a wedding dress from Macy's ever again!

Oh, and check out how her wedding turned out.

Would it be terribly insensitive for us to start making suggestions for alternative jobs for you?

If it is not insensitive, have you ever considering breeding Lamas?

If it is insensitive... Oh dear.

THANKS!

*storms off, screaming...*

HOW DID YOU EVEN KNOW THAT I HAD A CHILDHOOD FEAR OF LLAMAS!? *sob* How incredibly insensit...

Grrr!! That Macy's story makes me so angry!! HULK MAD!!

*grows large and green only to have several store clerks laugh at him*

0.o

*cries behind a fern*

Anyways, God sure knows how to force us to rely on him, eh? When I get to heaven I'm gonna have to ask him some questions concerning his methods.

Anything we can do?

Llamas. Great career move! Go for it! Now that I think about it. Thaat's much better than teaching!

Come back to Plenty Valley!!
The school has definately taken a turn for the worse with some neanderthal lady coming into the english department and a lot of other teachers that don't even speak english.
I failed a subject!(think of that,ME failing a subject!)because of a man from the Ukraine who actually called himself a dictator and spoke very little and very poor english.*sigh*I'm terribly frustrated,I think you would be welcomed back to Plenty Valley but honestly it is a hellhole and i probably wouldn't take a job there if i were a teacher.
Anyway,i think i'v complained thoroughly enough of the unfairness of it all for now.Sorry to be such a pessimist but i felt the need to let go of some of the hostility i feel towards these people who call themselves educators but don't measure up to your teaching.
I should shut up now.Goodluck with the job search.

don't know if you even remember me.would be quite funny if you didn't after my ramblings.

Soraya, how on earth could I forget you??

I'm saddened to hear that you're not having a good time at Plenty Valley. I'm even more saddened ( and maddened?!) to hear that PVCC is hiring some silly teachers! That's a real shame :(

I would come back to PVCC in a flash if there was a position. Apparently there was a position going a little while ago, but I didn't see it (it was advertised in The Age and I missed that edition, and it WASN'T advertised on the school website or the independent schools' website, where I check regularly). I was very annoyed when I found out, because it was too late :S

I would take a job at Plenty Valley, because I believe that our school has a lot of potential to be a really good school, academically and in its Christ-focus. There have been some amazing people who have taught at that school, and some amazing people still do :) (think of Mr Koch who gave up a position at an elite school to work at PVCC).

Hang in there, Soraya. Things will get better and as soon as I am able, I will be back :) I'm really happy that you posted on my blog, mate. Thanks :)

Thanks Megan <3

In other news, interview at Genazzano went really well! I'll be happy with whatever decision after that interview, because I know that God was behind me the while time.

What a cop-out. You've just given thousands of dole bludgers an easy out. "Being unemployed is all part of gods plan." Give me a break. Take some responsibility for your own life.

what's wrong with llamas? silly, silly dboy. though from what i've heard i suppose teaching would be a lot more sensible... but there must be a niche market for llamas somewhere. but yes, goodluck (^^)

oh and everyone should buy wedding dresses from hippy shops instead. the people there are always friendly. occasionally high, but friendly.
