?

Do you ever feel like everyone else knows something that you dont? Ever feel like everyone else is normal, and you're different in some weird way that you can't see, but people are just too nice to say anything? Do you ever feel like there's something that you do that nobody else does that sets you apart, but you, not being able to have a third person look at yourself, aren't able to find what it is?

I feel like that sometimes...

He he he!
Who says you're different, Daniel?

WE DON'T think so, do we everyone?

You're our special friend, just like the rest of us... We think of you as ONE OF US!

In spite of, you know...

Haha!

i do feel like that sometimes Dboy, but then I try to reason myself out of it by looking at the evidence instead of listening to my paranoia.

Is this stemming from what you feel at the moment?

Sure, in fact I know I am most of the time. But I never feel bad about it, or paranoid, as your post assumed.

I agree with puffin and MPB. I have the luxury of being in my 30s, and celebrating that I’m not “normal.” Where I work now, we’re very conscious of each other’s strengths, and we find that we work best in groups where everyone has different strengths. We all bring something to the table. Weaknesses aren’t considered as such—they’re just not strengths. It’s an incredibly healthy atmosphere when everyone remembers those ideas.

Of course, there’s that little, twisted part of me that sneaks out on occasion… hence my need for this blog community. I think you all bring out my fun side more often! Mwahh haaa haa haaaaaa.

I would only agree with the last couple of posts to a degree. I believe there is a very large, general sense of social normality, and that it is hard but possible to become wierd according to that. I would say being wierd is a majority/minority thing.

I thought we'd agreed never to mention DBoy's nostril hairs - especially when he platts them?!

You'll be mentioning how weird he is when ... oops, sorry.

Me? Nothing? Nothing at all!

What's that great conversation in Hitchhikers Guide(book).

Aurther Dent is talking to Slartibarfast and saying something like:" I always felt that there was something really big, and sinister going on around me but I just never knew..."

Slartibarfast: "NO, that's just normal paranoia, everyone in the universe has that..."

Ha ha! I totally feel like that Dboy! All the time! I'm always thinking that I could have some unique quality that, due to not being able to see myself from another perspective, that I will never be aware of!

Man, I was even wondering if that concept was something unique to me that only I would get! Guess that answers that question. :P

i can't say i feel like that but i think it'd be interesting to see yourself from someone else's point of view

I think it's really funny/ironic that you're asking if anyone feels that everyone's laughing at them over something unique, just to find out if what you're feeling is unique and people are laughing at you for it.

Ahhh... hilarious.

Legendary Puffin, we have been married 2 years yesterday and have certainly come to a point of honesty (even where nose hairs are concerned!) It hasn't always been so, on our first 'date' Danny had something stuck in his tooth and i was too embarassed to comment so it stayed that way ALL DAY! i am so glad that we grow and change and relationships evolve to a more comfortable level. happy anniversary to us!!! :)
