Interstellar Interview!

I think the interview was a hit! Praise God! Everything that I prayed for happened (of course - I've got no reason to expect anything different): I was articulate, wasn't stumped by any of the questions, engaged the interviewer in a good discussion, and had a fun time! My interviewer kept saying "Good answer" after almost everything I said, so I think that's a good sign. Plus all of my experience actually makes me ideal for the job, and my teaching philosophy is practically identical to the school's! Hooray!!!

This is me before the interview. Go get 'em!

Sounds like it went great. I'll be praying that you get the job if it's meant to be. :)

Peebody, I'm not saying I've definately got the job (God's got that one under control), but I do know the interview went well :)

Crazy, I look evil? Hmmm.... how can I use this to my advantage in the classroom...?

Danny is one of the most arrogant people I know. And when I say one of the most, I mean one of the least.

Danny, you are one of the nicest young men who exudes integrity 'people-love'. Anyone who hires you will be hiring the best, beyond doubt.

I think you are brilliant Dan and you would be ideal for this job. The students would be really blessed to be taught by you. :)

I don't even know if it has a real name, it has lots of nicknames.

Do you know when you find out about your job Danny?

Gee, thankyou so much you wonderfully encouraging people. You're all beautiful.

Yeah, I guess I was much more excited than arrogant. I'm not saying I am the best teacher - from my rounds the thing that struck me most was that there is a whole reservoir of knowledge about teaching that I have barely just scratched the surface of, and the only way to get deeper into it is through years of experience.

What I do know is that for a first year out teacher I have certain experiences and skills that differentiate (not make me better than, no no no) me from other first year outs, and for this position, I seem to have all the right ones :)

My unclue had a bit of facial hair like this once, but his was shaped like little fangs - they were soooo cool. I wonder if I could have a go at that...

I find out either this Friday or early next week whether I have the job. Very quick!
