Ergh
The reason for my latest lack of attendance has to do with more than just uni - pc games are sapping my energy and time again, and it makes me angry at myself. I tried to say that I wouldn't play games for a week, but I don't have that much self discipline, so I've frustrated my plans to ruin my life through computer games by deleting them all!
That'll learn me! Suck eggs, Dboy!

That means I've completed the level and get to perform ...... "The Song"
Ohhhhhhhhhh: "Dark corners suround me there every where i go the follow me and never go away i dont know why but dark corners suround me the follow me oh hollow me i dont know what to do but they come back to follow me"
Well done Dboy, that takes courage. You have no idea how many of your acolytes have fainted dead away on reading of the possibility that one could DELETE one's games for the greater good!
yeah, I know what you mean
I just deleted 'the ninja game' and probably should delete Nethack
Can't... delete... Nethack...
you know, that game was voted on the internet as the most addictive game ever
Do it King Kohl, do it!!
Eh, I'm so not addicted to computer games. Just blogs. Sooo addicted to blogging...
Thanks guys - and you're right Pavlos, I've kept the saved games :) But that's not gonna be a problem though, cos it takes me too long to install the game that I play the most, and by the time I put the cd in I'll remember the grief it has brought me.
I'll install the games again when I know I've got my lief back together :) And when I don't have any assignments due.
Oh, and well sung, TRH. Hehehe... that's still the best song ever.
That's a song now?
It was always a song! Chippie wrote it :) Hehehe...
i'm addicted to blogging too.
We did this Livesmart couse thing and they said u need to balence the time spent on learning, active recriation, passive recriathin and other including friends and stuff.
i had 43 hours a week of passive stuff woops!
What do you classify as passive stuff?
Is playing computer games passive? I wouldn't have thought so *puzzled*
You sounded like a good thing to say!
What's not passive? Playing sport? Then I've been passive for the last year
I have a solution danny.
GIVE ME MY PUTER BACK!
:P
passive is probably consuming type entertainment - t.v, reading, movies, computer, internet, etc.
maybe active are 'creating' type entertainment - uh-dunno...um... woodwork, painting, gardening, sport, writing, etc. flawed? maybe.
maybe active = social too so that's ummm... coffee w/ friends, hanging out, church (entertainment?), visiting people, phone calls, irc, etc
feeding or being fed.
Holy Moly! That's Brent! Brent has a blog! And he's had it since August!
Cheeky blighter!
I like your definitions of active and passive too. Funny how some things are a combination of both (eg. church).
Actually, I just thought about that and I really think that church shouldn't be a combination of passive and active. Even if you are sitting and listening to a message, I think that you should always be active in thinking about how you can apply it to your life. There would be no point in messages at church if we weren't doing this, and I think the people who want to get something valuable out of a message, will always get something valuable.
Amen dboy!
:D
Warhogs are not welcome anyhaps!
passive IS consuming type entertainment - t.v, reading, movies, computer, internet, etc.
Active IS 'creating' type entertainment - woodwork, painting, gardening, sport, writing, drama groups, band etc.
You are right wire
Yeah, good point, puffy :)
And maybe it should apply to the way we watch TV too...
Hehehe... maybe. Or maybe that you could be critically assessing what you are watching.
